Grants to this Grantee
for support of organizational diversity, equity and inclusion capacity to advance educational equity
for developing teacher practice and student learning in high school mathematics
Leadership Public Schools is a network of high-performing charter high schools in the San Francisco Bay Area that empowers students for success in college, career, and community leadership. As part of the schools’ transition to Common Core standards, the grantee will combine the freely available Open Up Resources math curriculum with the support necessary to effectively teach and use the materials. It also will conduct research to identify the critical elements for the successful adoption of OER and share findings with the broader education community.
for developing a technology tool to enable personalized learning
Leadership Public Schools (LPS) is a charter school network serving low-income students in the Bay Area. In this grant, LPS will partner with Gooru, a nonprofit that creates and curates openly licensed educational products and technologies, to continue development of personalized open content in Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry that will help more students succeed in math. This work will further the Education Program’s goal of extending rigorous, accessible, openly licensed resources to all students, especially students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
