Overview
Founded in 2016, JGEN Senegal is led by young women Senegalese feminist association working on gender issues, sexual and reproductive rights, and feminist movement building in Francophone Africa. JGEN will scale up its advocacy for collective feminist actions to advance women’s rights at regional and country level. JGEN will also deepen and grow its institutional capacities to provide increased community awareness, networking, capacity strengthening, and assistance efforts in Francophone Africa, including Senegal. for a Regional African Feminist Conference in Senegal  
JGEN Sénégal is a Senegalese young women-led feminist organization created in 2016 to support the development of a Senegalese feminist movement anchored in the elimination of sexist and sexual violence and the promotion of women's leadership and sexual and reproductive health and rights. With this grant, JGEN will organize the first ever Feminist University for West and Central African activists to come together and co-construct strategies to build their identity and agenda.
