International Planned Parenthood Federation European Network

For Activities Of The EuroNGOs Secretariat

Overview
The European NGOs for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (EuroNGOs) is a leading network of NGOs working to promote SRHR in the development cooperation of European bilateral donors and the European Commission. The EuroNGOs network is based in Brussels, and is overseen by the International Planned Parenthood Federation European Network. Following an external evaluation in spring 2012, the EuroNGOs network is currently developing a strategy for 2013-2105 through an extensive membership consultation. A revised strategy is anticipated to be approved at the EuroNGOs Annual General Meeting in October 2012. This grant will support the EuroNGOs network to work towards the goals articulated in the new strategy, which will have two interlinked pillars. One strand will focus on strengthening the EuroNGOs as a group by improving transparency and enhancing the member organizations' sense of ownership, ensuring timely information sharing, and providing capacity and skills building opportunities. A more externally oriented strand will be aimed at coordinating a coherent European voice for sexual reproductive health rights in the global arena, in cooperation with other regional and global networks. One of the key opportunities for collective European action will be the post-2015 development framework setting process.
