Overview
This grant to IIED supports training and networking for climate negotiators from least developed countries (LDCs) in preparation for the UNFCCC COP26. The grant also supports IIED’s initiative to build an agenda to drive concrete solutions on access to climate finance at COP26 and beyond. The consortium will work with a range of existing and new regional partners across the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific to enable collaboration between vulnerable country representatives and non-state actors to build and sustain an agenda that focuses on improving access to climate finance. Emphasis is placed on supporting government and civil society representatives from climate vulnerable countries, including small island developing states (SIDS), LDCs, and African countries to engage in the process.
