The Intercollegiate Studies Institute’s mission is to inspire college students to discover, embrace, and advance the principles and virtues that make America free and prosperous. The organization provides educational programs and content for students, alumni, and scholars to explore the foundations of a humane economy in light of contemporary political, cultural, and national security challenges. The Humane Economy Initiative focuses on the political economy and aims to provide education opportunities and networking needed for students, alumni, and scholars to discuss and debate the merits and deficiencies of neoliberalism around the country, with the aim of developing new economic paradigms.

The purpose of this grant is to support the institute’s Humane Economy Initiative that provides educational programs and content for students, alumni, and scholars to explore the foundations of a humane economy in light of contemporary political, cultural, and national security challenges. This project will convene the country’s most respected thinkers and writers on political economy to develop and execute a student conference in the Washington, D.C., area exploring new economic paradigms. The video and journalistic content developed from the project will serve as a springboard for a national conversation on how our economy can better advance the safety and happiness of the American people.
