for a supplement to J-PAL South Asia to conclude an impact evaluation of Pratham's Read India
We recommend a supplement grant to the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) in South Asia, an academic center at the Institute for Financial Management and Research (Chennai, India), for the adequate completion of an impact evaluation of the grant made to Pratham in 2007. The supplemental funds will allow J-PAL to finish evaluating the effect of volunteers, teachers, and materials on student learning in Pratham’s "reading to learn" and "learning to read" projects in India.
