Overview
Innovate+Educate is a nonprofit that implements research-based strategies to close the national skills gap. This grant would enable it to research what each of the deeper learning competencies "looks like" in the real world of civic life and employment, by identifying existing tools, or the need for tools, to measure these skills. This grant proposal supports the Program’s Deeper Learning strategy by providing a plan to create (and, when necessary, support the development of) practical definitions of the full set of deeper learning competencies.

Grants to this Grantee
for the Close It Summit conference
Innovate+Educate is national non-profit advancing efforts to address the gaps in learning and employability across the U.S. This grant would support a work to understand the "demand side" of deeper learning by collecting data from employers about how/if they define and measure such competencies; these findings would advance an empirically informed understanding of how deeper learning competencies are connected to job readiness. This work supports the Program's goal to have empirically driven evidence necessary for case-making for deeper learning.
