Overview
The Educational Policy Improvement Center (EPIC) helps educators create systems that improve students’ college, career, and life readiness. With this grant, EPIC will disseminate examples of successful accountability practices that support deeper learning. Working with district and school partners, EPIC will develop and roll out tools designed to strengthen local implementation of the state’s new accountability system and funding law.

for a review of alignment between grantee instructional materials and deeper learning skills
The Educational Policy Improvement Center will review materials produced by the Student Achievement Partners (SAP), Achieve, and Illustrative Math to assess alignment between the instructional materials and curriculum rubrics and review documents developed by these grantees and the deeper learning competencies.

With renewed support, the Educational Policy Improvement Center will continue its work with state agencies, nongovernmental organizations, school districts, and networks to conduct research, develop programs and tools to implement academic standards for college readiness, and develop and scale tests of deeper learning.
