Gender and Development Network

For The Development Of An Advocacy Hub On Feminist Approaches To Macro Level Economics

Overview
The Gender and Development Network (GADN) is a U.K.-based network of more than 150 organizations working on women’s rights. This grant will support a pilot to establish a global hub of feminist economics and has three main goals: to create a global coalition of organizations and activists working on macroeconomic policies; to establish a Pan-African regional hub to promote a feminist analysis to economic justice work; and to promote strategic collaboration and capacity on macroeconomic themes. GADN will achieve these goals by identifying and coalescing organizations and leaders, developing research on political economy, carrying out convenings around key decision-making meetings, and providing time and resources for strategic advocacy.
