Overview
The Legal Empowerment Fund is a new, 10-year field-building initiative led by the Fund for Global Human Rights to narrow the justice gap by increasing the power and ability of frontline groups to employ legal methods to address and overcome systemic challenges faced by historically oppressed communities. During its first three years, the fund will build out its grantmaking staffing and systems to disburse funding to an initial set of legal empowerment grantee organizations. In collaboration with the Global Legal Empowerment Network, it will contribute to a fieldwide learning and fundraising agenda. (Substrategy: Governance Channels)
