Overview
The FrameWorks Institute—a nonprofit communications research think tank—will develop a "core story" of education reform. With support from multiple funders, FrameWorks will study both the public’s perception of education issues and the gaps between its understanding and the opinions of experts across the field on questions such as: What is at stake for the United States when we talk about education? Why doesn’t education work to everyone’s advantage today? Can it be improved? How do we know that learning is happening? And what is the public goal of an expanded set of educational skills? Reformers can use the resulting data to frame communications and activities aimed at recruiting the support of the public and policymakers for systemic reform in the nation’s schools.
