Overview
First Voice creates and produces original, multidisciplinary work fusing Asian performing arts traditions with indigenous American art forms such as jazz, spoken word, and storytelling. Reaching 15,000 audience members annually through its local and national tour performances, First Voice also performs and teaches at public schools, universities, and other institutions and has produced numerous spoken word and jazz recordings. Supplemental funding will provide additional artistic funds for the remainder of the general operating grant period.
