With this proposed grant, El Poder del Consumidor, a consumer education and advocacy organization working to improve Mexico’s environment, would continue building public support for public transportation and clean air policies. During this period, El Poder will concentrate on adoption of new ozone and particulate standards for Mexico and implementation of bus rapid transit in Mexico State.

El Poder del Consumidor (EPC) is a nonprofit consumer education and advocacy organization. This recommended project grant would allow EPC to continue building public support for clean transportation policies and its education campaigns to raise awareness about the health impacts of air pollution caused by vehicles in main Mexican cities.

El Poder del Consumidor mission's is to defend consumer rights, and this applies from products to public policies and public services. This recommended grant is to raise awareness in target groups about the health impacts from air pollution caused by vehicles in the Valley of Mexico Metropolitan Area and Metropolitan Area of Toluca.
