Overview
Last year Educational Initiatives, one of the leading organizations in India with expertise in student assessment, assessed 160,000 fourth, sixth, and eighth graders across 18 states in India with funding from Google.org. The Student Learning Study catalogued low levels of learning across the country and provided insights on where students are most often falling short. To help states understand the results and identify ways to improve upon them, this grant would fund EI to conduct workshops with government education officials, teacher trainers, and school administrators in ten states.
