Overview
This grant will allow Drexel University to incubate an initiative to support policy research institutions in sub-Saharan Africa. By the end of the grant period, a task force of African leaders aims to design a funding platform and research award system, identify a host institution, and secure a first round of financial commitments. Ultimately, the goals are to increase the amount of research funding that flows to African entities, and to offer these entities support in strengthening their institutional capacity.
