CommonLit is dedicated to ensuring that every student graduates with the reading, writing, critical thinking, and communication skills needed to be successful in college and beyond. To achieve its mission, the organization operates a free online reading program that has grown to serve over 22 million students. Third-party research has proven CommonLit’s effectiveness, especially for students experiencing poverty and students with disabilities. The organization is rapidly scaling the adoption of its new flagship program, CommonLit 360, the first openly licensed and free digital English language arts curriculum in the nation. In doing so, CommonLit will promote a more diverse set of voices in the open education landscape, while also expanding the corpus of high-quality OER in circulation.
