Overview
Support to the Payne Institute at the Colorado School of Mines helps build a center of excellence on carbon capture, utilization, and storage. The institute will expand its capacity to incorporate carbon capture in climate models, as well as develop protocols for techno-economic systems analysis of carbon capture applications. It will research and develop new technologies for carbon capture, and around carbon utilization and storage. Finally, the institute will focus on policy research that will include carbon pricing, industrial carbon capture, and project-specific economic analysis for policymakers.
