Overview
The mission of the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN) is to empower all immigrants by defending human and civil rights, working for social and economic justice, and promoting cultural diversity. CARECEN’s parent and youth center provides a space where immigrant students and families are recognized as critical thinkers and provided with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to push for greater educational equity in their communities. CARECEN works to develop parent and youth leaders, partly by expanding leadership classes.
