Overview
The Asian Pacific Environmental Network (APEN) organizes a growing base of low-income Asian Pacific American communities in California to promote equitable land-use policy in the Bay Area and climate policy statewide. In 2014, APEN will push for effective implementation of land use and transportation plans in the Bay Area that reduce global warming pollution, while also working statewide to defend and implement the state's landmark global warming program.

In 2013, the Asian Pacific Environmental Network will mobilize Asian Pacific Islander communities across California in support of clean energy and energy efficiency financing policies that are essential for implementing the state’s ambitious 33 percent renewable energy standard, and policies to ensure that the state’s carbon fees are distributed equitably. The Network is well positioned to play a key role in defending and implementing these policies.
for support of the Power in Asians Organizing program  
The Asian Pacific Environmental Network helps low-income immigrant Asian communities work towards healthier communities. The Network would work as part of a collaborative effort to bring its members from Richmond and Oakland into the sustainable communities strategy planning process.
for support of the Asian Pacific American Climate Coalition  
The Asian Pacific American population is an important demographic group in California.The Asian Pacific Environmental Network’s California Asian and Pacific American Climate Coalition will help educate and mobilize a range of Asian Pacific American organizations to support and strengthen policies to meet the state’s renewable energy requirements, with a special emphasis on building support for clean energy in Los Angeles.
