The African Politics Conference Group within the American Political Science Association is dedicated to promoting the scholarly contributions of political scientists undertaking research on Africa. The group seeks to bridge the gap between scholars of African politics based at institutions in North America and those based in Africa. This grant will enable the group to support the research, professional development, and networking of early career scholars based at African universities.

for sponsorship of American Political Science Association Task Force on Congressional Reform  
This sponsorship grant will pay for costs associated with a plenary meeting in September 2019 and preliminary subcommittee meetings of the Task Force on Congressional Reform of the American Political Science Association, which is conducting nonpartisan, fact-based research and discussion of proposals for modernizing Congress. It will culminate with a report of its research and recommendations.
