The Alder Graduate School of Education’s mission is to create opportunity and cultivate success for every student by recruiting and educating excellent teachers and leaders that reflect school communities. Their vision is that by developing outstanding teachers and leaders, they will change students’ lives and make the world better and more just. Through a one-year program, Alder engages and supports community members in traditionally underserved communities across California to earn a graduate degree and teaching credential through a residency model. This grant will support the development of a teacher preparation pathway with the Hemet Unified School District that focuses on diversity and culturally relevant deeper learning practices.
