Overview
The African Forum and Network on Debt and Development (AFRODAD) is a pan-African civil society organization advocating for debt cancellation and addressing debt-related issues in Africa. AFRODAD’s mission is to contribute to Africa’s inclusive growth and sustainable development through influencing policy change on debt management and development finance anchored on a rights-based approach. This grant will support AFRODAD and the Nawi – Afrifem Macroeconomics Collective (NAWI), a community analyzing and influencing policies through an intersectional pan-African feminist lens, to establish an African feminist debt initiative demonstrating the intersection of debt with feminism and women’s rights. (Strategy: International Women’s Economic Empowerment)
