for general operating support
Advocates for Youth works to promote policies and programs that recognize young people’s rights to sexual health information; accessible and affordable sexual health services; and the resources and opportunities necessary to create sexual health equity for all youth. The organization’s advocacy is strengthened by working in close partnerships with youth leaders, adult allies, and youth-serving organizations.
for support of the Young Women of Color Leadership Council
This grant will support Advocates for Youth’s Young Women of Color Leadership Council program. This program prepares young women of color to run successful advocacy campaigns focused on reproductive issues on college campuses by training them on advocacy and organizing, developing their leadership skills, and identifying opportunities to elevate their voices for policy and cultural changes. Additionally, the grant will help Advocates for Youth expand their reach and program with the launch of their new campaign, The Future Is Young Women of Color. This campaign aims to refocus conversations on reproductive health, rights, and justice to center the needs and priorities of young women of color.
