Headlands Center for the Arts is a multidisciplinary arts center housed at the historic Fort Barry in the Marin Headlands since 1984. Each year it provides residency programs, fellowships, and awards to approximately 100 local, national, and international artists working across all disciplines. Its public presentations — including events, open houses, workshops, nature walks, exhibitions, conversations, and community meals — engage more than 13,000 people annually at its historic campus in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, in partnership with the National Park Service. Support for Headlands Center for the Arts aligns with the Performing Arts Program’s Artists strategy.
