Each year, City Lights Theater Company creates a season of six plays and musicals, a new play reading series, and summer youth conservatory at its 100-seat venue in San Jose. The organization reaches 10,000 people annually, 44 percent of whom are under the age of 45, as compared to the national average of 17 percent. Building on its strong reputation for inventive works, effective audience engagement strategies, and fiscal soundness, renewed funding will support the organization’s efforts to increase its financial and human capacity and offer its focused suite of programs for South Bay audiences.
