But our schools look the same as they did in the industrial era. The United States used to lead the world in education. Now, other countries are better at preparing their students for the 21st century, whileour schools lag behind. Deeper learning calls for a better education, so that our students build skills that will help them succeed in school and get the jobs of tomorrow.
