The pictures speak to our hearts

Kalpana Krishnamurthy is a senior policy director at Forward Together where she sees multiracial and multi-generational families advocating together for reproductive and social justice. She is most excited about the response to art. She’s seeing “the creation of beautiful art that is sharing the values we’re holding in the moment,” whether it’s art to protect immigrant communities or visually show that everyone is welcome. “The words are one piece,” says Krishnamurthy, “but the images and the pictures speak to our hearts.”
