Yerba Buena Arts and Events is committed to enhancing the vitality and quality of life in the parks and open spaces of Yerba Buena Gardens, mostly through its free outdoor cultural programs from May to October, which reach a diverse audience of more than 100,000 people, on average, per year. Spoken word, jazz, world music, theater, and dance make up the 100-plus performances each year. The organization commissions new work and helps local emerging artists and companies develop new audiences. With its strong leadership and prudent financial management, Yerba Buena Arts and Events would use this renewed support to advance its mission of providing high-quality artistic experiences free of charge to large public audiences.
