Women Deliver held its sixth global conference in Kigali, Rwanda, from July 17-20, 2023. The conference was a platform to foster solidarity for sustainable solutions on gender equality by championing the leadership of grassroots advocates, connecting advocates with decision makers, and sharing key advocacy strategies. This grant supports Women Deliver’s engagement with feminist movements and collectives in co-designing and planning the conference and regional gatherings and investments in language equity. This global conference of over 3,000 participants will focus worldwide attention on the urgency of Millennium Development Goal 5-reducing maternal mortality by three-quarters-and on interim and short-term solutions to improve the health and well-being of girls and women.
