Overview
This grant would allow the MatCH program to expand access to appropriate contraceptive methods and other sexual and reproductive health services in South Africa and the greater region through research, training, and technical assistance. Given the region's high prevalence rates of HIV, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and unplanned pregnancy, MatCH will continue to focus on research that supports female and male condom programs and other STI and HIV prevention interventions such as medical male circumcision. In addition, MatCH will continue supporting the South African Department of Health in its HIV/STI prevention interventions.
