We propose this grant for WestEd to conduct an analysis of current curricula and professional development programs that support Deeper Learning, including examination of their market and policy positioning. The information gained through this analysis will make it clear what resources are readily available to support Deeper Learning. It will also identify gaps where no resources exist or where existing resources could be supplemented or improved. As Hewlett moves forward with the promotion of Deeper Learning, this analysis will make clear where key leverage points exist and where development and technical support activities can do the most good.This analysis will take place over a seven-month period and conclude with a set of recommendations on possible strategies for promoting Deeper Learning through curriculum and professional development programs at scale.
