for the executive director transition efforts
Urban Habitat is an Oakland-based environmental justice organization working for planning decisions that address the needs of low-income communities and communities of color. Their Executive Director left the organization in August and Urban Habitat has adopted a transition and recruitment plan, which started in October and is expected to culminate in January with a new ED. At this time, the organization has decided to handle the recruitment process internally and not hire a consultant . This grant to UH will help the organization during this transition process and will provide support until the new Executive Director is hired.
