Overview
This project will develop and test methods to measure women’s economic empowerment that can be incorporated into household surveys. Building on existing research, the project will create survey modules that will be placed in the public domain for use by the statistical community. The measurement methods will be used for a large nationwide survey in India. In addition, the project will support the creation of an online platform for a community of researchers, program implementers, and data collectors working on measuring and analyzing determinants and consequences of women’s economic empowerment.
