The Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies at the University of California at San Diego is a research center focused on promoting scholarship and understanding between researchers in both countries. This grant would allow the Center to continue compiling public information on the governance of Mexico’s public health sector, in addition to producing new research on common health problems in rural marginalized communities. The project will finalize and disseminate the Atlas of Governance of Public Health in Mexico, an online platform including a geo-referenced map, which will make local public health statistics and complimentary health policy information accessible to the public. The project will also focus on outreach to Mexican organizations working on improving public health services for the poor.
