Overview
UCLA’s Center for the Transformation of Schools serves as a thought partner for school districts, county offices of education, and state departments of education to pursue whole-child, whole-community approaches to school system improvement and education justice. The center’s research is designed to help educational leaders implement strategies that foster positive, healthy learning environments and treat youth development and wellness as integral to the mission of preparing and inspiring future generations. This grant will support research on the diversity of the educator workforce. This research will identify best practices for the recruitment, selection, and retention of a diverse workforce and will identify challenges in the field to diversifying the workforce.
