Grants to this Grantee
for support of a series of studies on educator diversity
The UCLA Center for the Transformation of Schools serves as a thought partner for school districts, county offices of education, and state departments of education to pursue whole-child, whole-community approaches to school system improvement and education justice. The center’s research is designed to help educational leaders implement strategies that foster positive, healthy learning environments and treat youth development and wellness as integral to the mission of preparing and inspiring future generations. This grant will support research on the diversity of the educator workforce. The research will identify best practices for the recruitment, selection, and retention of a diverse workforce and will identify challenges in the field to diversifying the workforce. (Substrategy: Educator Capacity)
for developing data and evidence for women’s economic empowerment
The WORLD Policy Analysis Center at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Fielding School of Public Health provides access to global research, data, and maps for sharing ideas and resources on social policies. It uses data to identify effective policies and laws, publish original research, and offer evidence-based policy recommendations. It also works with organizations to translate its global policy data into community and country-level improvements. This grant will support the development of data and evidence for women’s economic empowerment. (Strategy: International Women’s Economic Empowerment)
