Overview
United Tribes of Bristol Bay works to protect the lands and waters that support the traditional way of life of the Indigenous people of Bristol Bay, Alaska, a priority geography of the Hewlett Foundation’s Western Conservation grantmaking strategy. The organization engages and represents many of the Yup’ik, Dena’ina, and Alutiiq communities in Bristol Bay — over 80% of the in-region population — in advocating for policies that advance a sustainable future and honor traditional values.
