Grants to this Grantee
for a project to track philanthropy-serving organizations’ COVID-19 response efforts
United Philanthropy Forum’s mission is to lead, strengthen, and inform a national network of organizations that advance philanthropy’s impact for the common good.It is a unique membership organization for both regional and national philanthropy-serving organizations (PSOs, i.e., infrastructure organizations). Collectively, its 79 members represent 7,000 funding organizations. Their four main strategic goals are: Lead a vibrant network working to deepen philanthropy’s impact; maximize the individual and collective capacity and impact of members; be a trusted source of excellent learning, knowledge, and resources for members; and strengthen the Forum’s capacity and sustainability. This grant supports a research project.
for the Regional Association Government Relations Capacity Building Initiative
for support of the 2017 Forum Annual Conference
The Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers is unique in philanthropy; it brings together deep regional roots and also a broad national reach. It has been for many years a network of 33 regional associations of grantmakers (that together serve a network of over 5,500 participating organizations). Recently, the forum made the strategic decision to expand its "umbrella" to include and support other national philanthropy-serving organizations (PSOs, i.e., infrastructure organizations) in the network as well. They hope this will reduce duplication and increase collaboration in philanthropy’s infrastructure, and will greatly enhance how regional and national PSOs work together to support, inform, and advance the philanthropy sector.
