Overview
The United Nations Foundation serves as the institutional host of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data. The Partnership brings together government, private-sector, civil society, and international institutions to harness new and traditional sources of data to better understand and address development challenges. This grant will support the implementation of the Partnership’s strategic plan, which has four goals: (a) drive political change, elevating the importance of data production, access, and use for decision making; (b) promote the use of new technologies and data sources to improve government decision making; (c) embed standards of interoperability into global frameworks so that multiple data types can be used together to address common development challenges; and (d) scale up the use of timely and robust data for Sustainable Development Goal monitoring.
