Overview
The United Nations Foundation serves as the institutional host of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data. The partnership brings together government, private-sector, civil society, and international institutions to harness new and traditional sources of data to better understand and address development challenges. Several of the partnership’s member organizations are testing ways to enable government agencies to use private sector data such as cellphone or financial transaction data to help understand and address social and economic development challenges. With this grant, the partnership will convene its relevant members to jointly develop a plan to generate and share learning across these experiments.
