United Nations Foundation

For Promoting Effective And Evidence-based Policies To Deliver On The Sustainable Development Goals

This project will provide support for the United Nations Foundation to, in collaboration with policy actors and think tanks from the Global South, promote the use of evidence, data, and analysis to inform implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through its close working relationship with U.N. member states and regional commissions, the Global Policy Team will create opportunities for policy researchers from Africa, Latin America, and South Asia to engage with U.N. and government officials in New York and in each of these regions, with the goal of informing SDG implementation and monitoring with country-specific and cross-country policy research.

for the U.S. Climate Alliance
The U.S. Climate Alliance is a bipartisan coalition of governors representing 24 states, with more than 60% of U.S. GDP, 55% of the U.S. population, and 40% of U.S. emissions. These governors are committed to driving the nation’s ambitious climate agenda by working in partnership with each other, the federal government, and the international community. The alliance has an important role to play in implementation of federal climate investment laws by supporting state engagement with federal agencies, supporting the development of state decarbonization plans, and supporting effective deployment of federal dollars to drive decarbonization and community economic development.
