Overview
The United Nations Development Programme is the lead agency responsible for organizing consultations and generating analyses that will inform the post-2015 development agenda. This grant would support background analyses and a major international meeting on the data requirements for implementing and monitoring progress toward the post-2015 development goals. In particular, this grant would enable the participation of experts from the Global South, including many Hewlett Foundation grantees and think tank scholars.

for support of the UN Secretary-General’s High-Level Panel on the Post-2015 Development Agenda  
This is a supplemental grant to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Under the direction of the Secretary-General, UNDP is convening a high-level panel consisting of representatives from governments, the private sector, academia, civil society, and youth to advise on the global development agenda at the conclusion of the Millennium Development Goal time frame. This grant will support the research, outreach, and operations teams and provide funding for international meetings to inform the high-level panel recommendations. These recommendations will serve as the framework for goals to be agreed upon by U.N. member states by 2015.
