for the Clean Transportation program
The Union of Concerned Scientists, a national nonprofit organization, uses rigorous, independent science to solve our planet’s most pressing problems. The union works to advance equitable and sustainable transportation electrification of both passenger and heavy-duty vehicles; improve access to low- and zero-carbon mobility options beyond electric vehicles; and promote guardrails in policies to decarbonize transportation fuels, while planning for petroleum phaseout. (Substrategy: Electrification)
for a comprehensive survey and assessment of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion
The Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS), a national nonprofit organization, uses rigorous, independent science to solve our planet's most pressing problems. The Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) wants to survey the organization’s past efforts as well as of current staff understanding of JEDI concepts; a sense of individual experiences within the organization; and clarity about what has worked well and not. This organizational effectiveness (OE) grant will enable UCS to engage the consulting firm Strategy Matters to help design and administer the survey, analyze the data, and present findings to staff.
