Grants to this Grantee
for the Wyoming Range Project
The Wyoming Range is a 1.2 million-acre, permanently protected range in Wyoming. Several federally issued oil and gas leases pre-dated the decision to protect the range, potentially impairing its conservation value. The Trust has negotiated with the lease-holder to purchase the leases and donate them back to the government. This grant would support the Trust’s efforts.
for support of the Parks for the People-Bay Area Program
In the San Francisco Bay Area, the Trust for Public Land’s goal is to provide Bay Area residents with the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors by creating easy access to local parks and natural areas. This grant highlights access to parks and open space in underserved neighborhoods through the organization’s Parks for People program by renovating three existing San Francisco parks, creating a community garden in a densely populated area of San Rafael, and developing a master plan for Glen Canyon Park. The Trust’s projects offer communities a voice in design and renovation.
for support of the Parks for the People-Bay Area Program
This grant would support the Trust’s efforts to build urban parks and playgrounds in underserved neighborhoods in San Francisco and San Rafael.
