Grants to this Grantee
for the ClimatePlan and World Class Transit Regional programs
TransForm promotes clean transportation policies. The purpose of this grant is to renew support for ClimatePlan, a TransForm program which coordinates efforts to reduce emissions from transportation and land-use planning. TransForm’s focus for next year is the development and adoption of strong transit and land-use plans in the San Joaquin Valley and Bay Area. China Sustainable Cities Special Initiative
for general operating support
TransFormCA works to create world-class public transportation and walkable communities in the Bay Area. With this renewed general support, TransFormCA would continue to work in its three main programs: Safe Routes to School: for children walking and biking to school; Bus Rapic Transit, effective public transportation specially for low income communities, and GreenTrip, a program to design better homes for people of all incomes near transit. Ultimately, TransFormCA’s programs would ensure the reduction of vehicle emissions contributing to climate change and air pollution in the Bay Area.
