Grants to this Grantee
for the Energy Initiative Program
Sportsmen are a credible, respected voice in the West, able to influence the decisions of federal public land managers that affect fish and wildlife habitat. This renewal grant would support the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership’s efforts to protect important fish and wildlife habitat on western public lands from being developed for oil and gas. The Partnership would work closely with other hunting and fishing organizations, most notably the National Wildlife Federation and Trout Unlimited, to protect fragile habitat. It would also ensure the Department of Interior fully implements oil and gas leasing reforms that have been languishing in the agency for almost two years.
