Overview
The Practice Space is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting effective and inclusive communication in schools and communities. This grant supports the development of a book for K-12 educators that provides actionable guidance about how to create welcoming spaces where every student can express who they are and discover who they want to become. The book will be co-authored with youth and offer practical guidance to help teachers use and adapt debate-centered instruction and storytelling resources, while using open educational resources and practices to create active, inclusive classrooms that embrace diversity and social and emotional learning.
