Grants to this Grantee
for wildfire resilience in the West

In the Western U.S., it collaborates with community partners to educate the public and policymakers about the need to enhance public funding for wildfire resilience. (Substrategy: Wildfire)
for the Building a Conservation Ethic in the West program
The Nature Conservancy works around the world to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature and people. In the Western U.S., it collaborates with community partners to educate the public and policymakers about the need to enhance public funding for conservation of public lands and waters, and sustainable working lands. (Western Conservation Substrategy: Advance Conservation Protections)
for support of the America's Great Outdoors staffing project
This grant to the Nature Conservancy (TNC) would renew support for it to detail one of its staff people to the Department of the Interior under the Intergovernmental Personnel Act. The staff person would help the department develop and implement policy recommendations for the America’s Great Outdoors program. The initiative has identified several sensitive ecosystems on Western public and private lands in need of better protection through targeted federal funding and land management coordination.
