Overview
The Lugar Center, formed in 2013 and led by former U.S. senator Richard Lugar, is a new platform for informed debate and problem solving on global issues and bipartisan governance in the United States. The center brings together expert sources and sponsors research to improve the quality of debate and bridge ideological divides around these important issues. Committed to thoughtful analysis and civil dialogue, the center advocates for evidence-based approaches and policy options. It also is exploring ways to measure bipartisanship and to recognize senators and representatives who work to build greater bipartisanship in Congress.
