The Institute for Social Accountability (TISA) is a Kenyan civil society organization committed to promoting transparency, participation, and accountability through research, policy, and advocacy. TISA facilitates citizen oversight of the decentralization of Kenya’s governance and resource allocation through monitoring and campaigns, such as the Okoa Uchumi campaigns for more public scrutiny of Kenya’s growing sovereign debt. With this grant, they will identify opportunities to diversify revenue sources and establish new relationships with funders.
for capacity building of civil society in building TPA demand in budget implementation  
The Institute for Social Accountability (TISA) is a Kenyan civil society organization committed to promoting transparency, participation, and accountability through research, policy, and advocacy. This grant will enable TISA to encourage greater citizen oversight of the decentralization of Kenya’s governance and resource allocation in accord with its progressive 2010 constitution. TISA will strengthen civil society capacities to increase citizen demand for access to information, prudent use of public resources, and sound intergovernmental policy at national and county levels.
